When purchasing scissors, the first consideration is choosing either a Japanese style scissor or a German style scissor.

What’s the difference?

Japanese style scissors primarily use a CONVEX EDGE and will generally have ergonomic (offset) handles.

German style scissors primarily use a BEVEL EDGE and will generally have straight handles.

We specialise in Japanese style scissors however we can also source German style scissors if desired.

Scissor Service

Periodically your scissors will need to be sharpened. How often this should be done will vary and can depend on several factors. Even with regular use, at some point you’ll notice that your scissors are less sharp.

Our sharpening services start from $60.00 per pair.

We sharpen off-site. We offer a pick-up & drop-off service for most Brisbane areas. To arrange, please CONTACT US.

You may also post your scissors to us from anywhere in Australia.
